In addition to becoming a healthier you, you can earn $25 worth of produce and also enjoy a meal at every class. Yearlong class participants may receive: Calorie King Book, Measuring Cups & Food Scales, My Plate, Rec Center Pass, Water Bottle, Fat Free Cook Book, Weight Scale, Traditional Food Guide, River Journal, Coffee Cup, Pedometers, Seaweed Book & Berry Picker.*

Diabetes Prevention Program class is offered in a group format for 24 sessions. Education topics include how to make healthy nutrition choices, increase activity, learn to eat out and make good choices, and managing stress. Participants are supported in reaching their weight loss goal through healthier eating and increased physical activities.
You will meet individually with a lifestyle coach once a month to discuss how things are going, and to help customize your program to meet your personal needs and style.
Diabetes Self-Management education is available in a group setting for four classes over a course of two months or in an dividual setting. Education topics include monitoring blood glucose, medication management, and carbohydrate counting.
The optomap ultra-widefield digital retinal imaging device helps you and your eye doctor make informed decisions about your eye health and over-all well-being. Diabetic foot exams can be provided. Annual oral health exams are recommended, even for patients who wear full dentures.
