Mission Statement
The purpose of the SSEATEC Education Program is to assist our members in meeting the challenging academic standards in a manner consistent with tribal traditions, languages, and cultures, and to develop avenues to college and the workplace for our students.
Background
The Southern Southeast Alaska Technical Education Center, or SSEATEC, is part of the tribal council’s strategic goal to foster education and long term sustainable growth. The facility functions as a home for several tribal services and as a learning and training center. At the moment, SSEATEC plans to offer classes, training sessions, and apprenticeships certified by the Alaska Department of Labor. Various rooms in the building are available for rent by the general public.
